Development and Marketing Manager

Creative nonprofiteers and developing developers: Twin Cities Runoff is searching for a self-motivated Development and Marketing Manager to help create and define grant-writing strategy and individual fundraising structure. This is a volunteer position, but as you work with our team to grow this organization, opportunities will grow. We’re looking for someone with a versatile skill set and a lot of ambition, with one or more of the following qualities:

  • A connector of dots: We’re seeking someone who can put together research and know-how to get results– both in funding and in audience-building.
  • A walker of lines: Do you think outside the box? Do you know when to start something new and when to go to the old stand-bys?
  • A writer of grant proposals: Have you done this before? Would you like to learn how?
  • An outreach specialist: Do you know how to build an audience or a donor base? Do you pay attention to how these donor bases are changing?

This volunteer position (3-5 hours weekly) allows for a large amount of creative freedom and all the pros and cons of working with a relatively new, growing organization. You’ll get a ton of writing, publishing, marketing, and nonprofit development experience. This position is perfect for someone who is looking to change careers or get creative experience beyond administrative duties.

The Development and Marketing Manager will research funding opportunities novel and old-fashioned, collaborate to prepare grant proposals, grow an individual donor base, and work to expand Twin Cities Runoff’s audience.

To apply, please send a resume, cover letter, short writing sample (any sort of nonfiction will do), and an annotated list of your three favorite Twin Cities companies or organizations to info@twincitiesrunoff.com.

If you can’t commit to work 3-5 hours weekly but still would like to work with Twin Cities Runoff anyway, drop us a line with your resume and interests, and we’ll chat!

Please apply by Friday, August 19.
